Lying on the floor with her head in her hands She's crying in a way that I can't understand With long black tears she looks like a ghost, she screams, “I think I taught the Washington Sniper everything he knows!” Oh no dear God I'm begging please Praying to you down upon my bended knees Ain't there nothing you can do to take away this awful fear Or am I just gonna have to die here? Come on! I asked what made her think such terrible things, she said, “I had a horrible dream, With a big evil creature that laughs when I scream for help, I think it was Satan himself!”
2.
HOG FOR YOU 02:21
One little piggy went to London, one piggy went to France This little piggy's coming over your house he's gonna get inside your sweet pants Coz I'm a Hog for you baby I can't get enough of your love I'm a Hog for you baby I can't get enough of your love I'm a Hog for you baby I can't get enough of your love I'm a Hog for you baby I can't get enough of your love That's right One little piggy ate a pizza, one piggy ate some crisps This little piggy's coming over your house he's gonna get between your sweet lips
3.
THE NAM 02:34
Back in 1969 Sent over to Viet Nam Way behind the enemy line Just me and my UZI 9 Come on baby, shake it like you used to do Come on baby, shake it like you used to do Come on, Come on Then just like in a dream They sent me an M16 Brand new and shiny clean Most pretty thing you'd ever seen Napalm came raining down Falling till it hit the ground Probably the sweetest sound Watching as the bodies mount
4.
GO AWAY 01:44
I don't like nothing about you girl I don't like not even your name Only time you talk is behind my back And every time you laugh it's at my expense Well go away Go away Go away Go away Go
5.
I did you a favour when I said good bye, yeah right Keep telling yourself that babe you know it's a lie, that's a fact Got everything to lose and nothing to gain Go to church on Sunday and confess your sin, I think you should You say you don't care but I know you do You got nothin' but contempt for me You'll always love me even as a friend. Ha! I got enough friends baby, this thing has gotta end Told every guy it was you who put me down When you and I know baby it was me fooling around
6.
You didn't want me when I was alone You just sat there up on your big throne Little queen of hearts you wouldn't notice me But now I got a girl to call my own You're always calling on the phone Little queen of hearts you know you're bugging me But you don't have the hold you think you have on me And now I've got a girl it's plain to see you wanna piece of me Little queen of hearts take a hike and leave Little queen of hearts take a hike and leave You had a puppy that's now in the pound Had a pony that had to be put down Little queen of hearts you're a nasty girl Your daddy gives ya everything you want But nothing that you need You only want what you cannot have And now that includes me
7.
LOVE WOLF 03:21
I've been cursed since the day I was born quite literally My momma offended a high-chief voodoo priest Well I don't know how and I don't know why She took it to the grave with her when she died But every time I see a girl I really like I change Oh why? I'm a wo I'm a wo I'm a wo-wo-wo-wo-wo I'm a love wolf The full moon has no effect on me at all I walk on hind legs both day and night But every time I see a beauty I admire My teeth grow longer and my senses get higher In my heart there burns a fire of pain Oh why? It took a while for me to find a mate But she loves the beast in me ain't no mistake She keeps me on a lead in the daytime Keeps me in a cage at night She pats my head and pulls my tail When I do my loving right
8.
Late one night when I was all alone This crazy little girl yeah she followed me home I said “What do you want now? What do you want from me?” Yeah She said “I want nothing, nothing from you, “I just wanna show you this dance I can do” And she kicked off her boots and stood there in bare feet now She said “Jump to the left, step to the right, “Shake your hair, stay up all night!” Let's go Stuck to the spot with my eyes so wide There was no way in Hell I could hide my surprise As she danced to a drum that was banging in her brain now By the time she was done she was soaked right through Didn't smell too good but then neither would you And she took a deep breath and told me how to move
9.
You've got a smile for everybody but me What wrong I did remains a mystery Well come on baby, come on now If you want me to apologize just come on and tell me how But you've got just three words to say to me “Shut your mouth!” So I come home late, tell one or two lies Is that all it takes to bring hate to your eyes? Come on baby and count to ten Take a deep breath and let's try it again
10.
Last time I saw you babe you were fast asleep in my arms But when I awoke and you were gone I didn't know where to turn It must've been a year ago and I've done everything I can I wonder where you are now honey are you with another man Or honey are you dead? Haunt me, give me a sign I've been to the local priest and a shaman across the sea I ask everybody who will listen but there's nothing they can tell me Every time I ask your mother, and the same goes with your pa They just shut the door on me, I wonder if they know where you are Honey are you dead? Haunt me, give me a sign Friends say I should forget you, you just don't wanna be found But how can I think that way if you're six feet underground Cops say you coulda been killed, without a body nothing they can do Private I's and séances haven't turned up one clue Honey are you dead? Haunt me, give me a sign
11.
Gonna tell you a story you might know But if you can't relate, don't hesitate, count your blessings go man go It's a story of woe, of sadness and co. Of broken hearts Has it got a happy ending? No! I saw this girl standing outside jail I was in two minds but thought, “What the hell” No she didn't look bad, not a femme fatale, so I drove over and introduced myself She got into the passenger side and she looked me up and down Nodded her head “Yes” once or twice before she screamed, “Giddy up and go!” Took her where she wanted to go, “Anywhere but here” And with my foot to the floor she wouldn't give me any more, 100-something in top gear She had nothing to fear, I bought her some beer Did I have my suspicions? No! We drove all night and we slept all day It didn't take her long before she made me her slave It was good at first but it just got worse believe me when I say She kissed me with her poisoned lips it really knocked me out She tied me down, she gagged my mouth, I couldn't even shout, “Giddy up and go!” Let this be a warning to you, listen to me If you see that girl, if she enters your world, keep on moving, leave her be I'm down on my knees begging you please Am I glad I went out that night? I don't think so, No!

about

DEADLY LONG LEGS are the kind of band your granny warned your mammy about!
This is R O C K & R O L L, Mutha-Focker!!
They don't write music for your head. Or your heart. Their songs, like "I Wanna Be Your Man" era Stones and "I Wanna Be Your Dog" Stooges, are for your ass to shake to like you don't give a Ho-Lee Shiit.

DEADLY LONG LEGS are a three-piece group (the average age still in the teens), playing the same instruments they learnt on, bashing out a sound where the occasional bum-notes don't matter because the pure enthusiasm and DIY primitivism puts a big-ass grin on your face for the whole thirty-minutes.

Although the musical influences come from '60s garage compilations (Crypt's "Back From The Grave" etc.) and early US punk originators (MC5, New York Dolls etc.) DEADLY LONG LEGS are no retro or dippy nostalgia trip. This is no put on! There's no tongue-in-cheek delivery or knowing wink at the audience, only the genuine feeling that when they pick up their guitars, their sticks and open their mouths this is all that can come out. But unlike most bands playing Mummies budget-rock DEADLY LONG LEGS haven't just learnt the three chords for "Louie Louie" and "Wild Thing", they play their own shit.

And No Fuckin' Costumes.
And No Fuckin' Haircuts.

They've played up and down the UK without ever asking for a gig or using one of those Manager things. Go-Go clubs in Liverpool; cramped and sweaty cellars in Bristol; art galleries in Glasgow; shit-loads in London... The list goes on.
They were begged to fly out to do a mini-tour of Portugal, and then Greece, but the dates conflicted with school term.
MTV wanted to use the band's songs in episodes of "Dirty Sanchez". After looking up the programme on YouTube DEADLY LONG LEGS realised they didn't want their tunes soundtracking a bunch of dicks from Wales shooting each other in the bollocks with BB guns. DEADLY LONG LEGS told MTV 'thanks but no thanks'.

After a couple of bedroom-recorded EPs given to anyone who wanted one the band were offered free and unlimited studio time at The Bridge, Birmingham to put together an album. The first day in the studio again conflicted with the school calender – two of the band bunked off but the third couldn't. They found a replacement bass player for the day and taught him the songs one by one before the tape rolled. Several weeks after recording the stand-in musician and friend of the group took his own life. Three songs on the finished album - “Back To The Rock We Crawled From” - feature the dead man's work, and the LP is dedicated to him.

At every step of the way DEADLY LONG LEGS have done everything their way without any eyes on the prize. Whether you're with them, against them, or don't give a toss makes no difference, they do this because it's all they know how to do. At the end of the day what else is there?
